Highlighting the last few months of photographs taken on my iPhone. Yes they are grainy, blurry, not as good as the DSLR but they are super fun to take, and it means I always have a camera with me at all times, and sometimes all I want to do is just press the shutter button – and not have to worry about all the manual settings of my normal camera. Great fun to take, great fun to be out with a small camera again – it definitely gets you back in the zone and away from the technicalities!

Welcome to Rhodes, now where’s the plug socket?

We arrived in Rhodes early yesterday morning, to a beautiful blue sky and wonderful heat. We had arranged to meet the owners of the rented accommodation in the town square at 7:30am, as supposedly the place was hidden away somewhere in the back streets of Lindos. We grabbed the first taxi we saw, “all prices [...]

Time for an epic adventure, South Pacific and round the world!

So we’ve decided, finally that thing we need more than anything right now is a mega round the world trip. Just like that. It’s been a long time coming, and the timing has always not been quite right, but it seems, come October this year we may have the opportunity for an adventure. Watch this [...]

Collection of iPhone photos from the last few months…

I have put together a quick gallery of iPhone photos I have taken over the last few months, as much as I love my awesome Canon 5DMK2 plus all the usual kit, I love having a single small camera with me at all times. It’s great not having to think about all the technicalities of [...]

iPhone photo: Hung parliament and the NHS, good luck for the future.

Waiting at the hospital this morning contemplating the hung parliament, hoping that what ever gets decided in the next few days doesn’t wreck the current National health service here in the UK. Staring up at the bleak sky and the glowing NHS logo winking down at me from under the clouds I’m sure will help…

Putting an X in the box, it’s voting time again.

I got my vote in on this beautiful morning in Norwich South, weird feeling when you put an X in the box and hope you can actually make a difference, even though I still don’t feel I know all the issues and all the outcomes of every candidate – so it’s always a bit odd [...]

I got a bit carried away yesterday taking abstract leaf and plant textures on my iPhone camera, and using CoolFx application on the iPhone to change them to black and white.. thought I should post them up here as well as my twitpic account.

In the words of Chase Jarvis: “The best camera is the one you have with you..”
Ok, so it’s not quite so much of a photo challenge, more of just getting more involved talking simple low res images to help aid creativity – inspired by a recent blog by Chase Jarvis,

As I mentioned in a previous [...]
