The Saatchi Gallery requests a portfolio selection!

I initially guessed this was just spam, so carefuly checked it out and had a browse around their site. a href="http://www.chrisridley.co.uk/blogs/wp-content/uploads/2007/10/saatchi.jpg">

I had not realised what a huge site it was, listing many artists and photographers from around the world, showcasing your work for everyone to see.

The Saatchi gallery site needs a lot of work, it doesn’t look great from the outside, but hey, it’s free publicity – even if it is being listed with a million other people under my initials! Seems that anyone can upload their photo’s to the site and create a profile – but it was quite nice to actually be asked to come a join :)

So I just have a few of my favourite shots from my portfolio site – if anyone is interested in the site for adding their own work, the link to my profile is here: The Saatchi Gallery.

    Hello Chris

Like you I found Anita Sahni’s email asking for an image portfolio and suspected spam. But it’s legit, huh, and I can become one of 60,000 grateful artists on the Saatchi Gallery site, which still doesn’t look great, dribbling off for miles as you scroll south. But why not? is my question. The Saatchi name has more cachet than, say, Flickr. What I’d like to know, has it paid off for you in any noticeable way since Oct. 2007? Thanks! Jeremy
