I’ve been spending a lot of time recently with one of my good friends Will Giles, he has a beautiful garden which is open to the public on Sundays throughout the summer in Norwich called the Exotic Garden, which is most amazing garden I have ever been to, I could talk about for hours! Anyway, once you have come back from looking around his site have a look at the image below, it’s a Solanum quitoense. This is commonly known as the naranjilla, or ’small orange’ from northwestern South America.
Will happens to have a few of these dotted around the garden.. and it would have been rude not to take some photographs of it!
I used the Canon 24-70L 2.8 here, probably my most used lens (To be fair I think the 10-20mm Sigma gets about the same) – it’s certainly my most reliable by far the sharpest – check ou the sharpness of the close spines, it’s brilliant, it beats the hell out of my other lenses. I’ve always banged on about the L range of Canon lenses, but sometimes they just give you the wow factor you always want!
