Having looked into the world of microstock photography and not really seen any reason to carry on with it – I have been focusing my efforts into submitting and selling through Alamy stock photography – as these images will be properly licensed for proper use, rather than rediculous micropayments through the microstock sites such as iStock, Shutterstock etc. Although I still have my trial accounts open i’m certainly not going to be adding more pics to them, so they will all just sit there dormant until I get round to properly shutting them off.
**UPDATED 10/5/08 – Stock area of my website live, finally!! – Click here: Stock Photography
So, Alamy – what a learning curve it’s been, has been extremely exciting really. I aim to do a couple of posts more indepth about Alamy, and what is going on there in the next few days. I have been spending a lot of time recently developing / checking / processing my images on the new iMac (Which is making a HUGE positive difference to my workflow) and have then been submitting to their quality control… which takes a good few days… then if they pass you then keyword / caption them / license them and they come up for sale.
Currently I only have 214 images online in my stock portfolio, I’m aiming to start locally, taking pictures around the area I live and perhaps try and represent a fair batch of them over the coming months. Anyway, it’s hard work and long hours keywording the images, but hopefully it will result in more sales and a more long term investment of my own time and money.

I’m also in the process of making a dedicated stock photography part of this website too… but it’s all time time time
